**ADOPTION PENDING*** This is tiny Midge, a mini doxie with a sweet personality, playful energy and cute-as-a-button looks, all rolled up into a tiny little package. She is doing great in foster care and we know it'll be a very lucky home that adopts Midge.

She likes squeaky toys, going on walks and any food you can possibly think of offering to a dog. (Okay that last was is assumed based on observations so far.)  She loves to cuddle on your lap, buried under a blanket cave. She is a breeze to bathe and groom, and loves to go out and about and meet new people. She is a little more territorial when on her home turf, and so she'll need someone who doesn't indulge her guarding behavior. She responds immediately to correction... she's got some sass, but no follow through.

Midge came to us from a situation where she was neglected and as a result, the stress and lack of good food and vet care, she lost her hair. She is not meant to be hairless, though, and so we're working with a vet, giving her meds and regular baths, to help her grow back what looks to be a beautiful red coat. We think she's pretty perfect as she is now, but imagine her as she was born to look. We can't wait to see it!

Midge has gained weight that she really needed, going from 4.8 pounds to 6.8 pounds! She's doing so well and is ready for adoption when the right home discovers her. Until then, she'll wait patiently, chewing on a bone or snoring, or cuddling, or squeaking toys... she's enjoying life for sure!
