Arlo is still a baby, weighing in at 5 pounds, but don't be fooled by his small size.  He has one huge personality and is extremely intelligent. You can feel the wheels turning in his little head as he figures out any complex situation. This boy has an insatiable curiosity and loves figuring things out.  He learned his name in just a few hours. Arlo is house-trained however always know that any dog may have accidents in a new home environment. He scratches at the door (sometimes quietly) when he wishes to go outside to potty or play.

Inside of the house Arlo loves spending time on the sofa or engaged playing fetch. Outside he is a live wire who is always seeking adventure.  He enjoys dragging large toys around that are 3 times his size. Arlo is quite a handful of energy and he can easily overwhelm another dog. He doesn't realize his size and will constantly interact, pester, get-at and potentially annoy another pet. Arlo will be good as an only dog or matched in a home with a well-tempered companion.

Arlo will need to be placed where his new family is home more than away with preference given to applicants with a stay-at-home, work-from-home or a flexible work schedule.

Arlo is being fostered in Myrtle Beach, SC. Transportation is the responsibility of the adopter. Please consider distance and transportation before applying for adoption. At his current weight he is small enough to fly in-cabin with you under the seat or will journey in your car (crated) just fine.
