Meet Petals, a tough, 16 lb, 8yr old Chihuahua-Pug mix being fostered in New Jersey. Petals is a happy dog who loves to smile, very eager to please, housetrained, clean, and not yappy! She has a soothing presence in the house and is very adaptable to your moods and activities. Not only is Petals smart, but she is also bilingual! She was raised in a Spanish-speaking home, so she knows her commands in Spanish and is quickly learning English.

Petals would love to have a fenced-in yard where she could roll in the grass and sit in the sun. She walks well on a leash if a fenced-in yard is not an option. Applicants must be willing to drive to get her because we do not want her flying on a plane due to her size. She is not in a home with younger children.

Petals is a rare and delicate little flower that was surrendered by her family because they could not afford to remove a mass from her abdomen. While she being spayed, it was realized her mass was an umbilical hernia, which is easily repaired and without lasting effects! So, Petals is not so delicate after all! She will soon have the freshest breath because she is getting a dental cleaning soon! Won't you consider giving this girl a forever home?
