Tess is a 12 year old Shih Tzu who has been battling a yeast infection for most of her adult life. Here you see 2 pictures of Tess: one is before treatment of her yeast infection, and one is after. She is the sweetest, most affectionate little girl who desperately needs your help!

Tess came into foster care after her mommy died and her father was left with the option of either having her put to sleep or turning her into rescue as he is disabled and could not take care of her medical condition. His landlord asked him to get rid of her due to her illness and the fact that some of the other tenants were complaining that she was ill. We knew in our hearts, that she could be treated and return to normal. The problem is, her treatments will be costly and our veterinarian can only work with rescue so much.

Vibrant and loving, this poor girl needs a second chance! When she feels up to it, her foster mom still takes her to see her daddy every chance she can. The minute they see each other, their faces light up and Tess climbs up on his wheelchair and gives him kisses all over his face. It's such a heartwarming sight to see. Her favorite thing to do is ride with her daddy on his lap in the wheelchair and go for long walks and sniff, sniff, sniff. Her dad loves her dearly, but since he is on a limited income due to his disability, his funds only go so far for her care. We're looking for sponsors for Tess. She is a sanctuary dog so that she can visit her dad on a regular basis. Rescue is not only for the homeless dog, dogs who have been dumped, injured, or released from a mill. But this is not only about Tess. This is about her daddy, who still loves her dearly.
