Description:
***ADOPTION PENDING***
Violet is a lovely hairy hairless girl, estimated between 3-5 years old. She is white with black spots and a very unique black mark on half her nose. She weighs just under 10 pounds and, now that it's cold, loves wearing her pretty outfits. She follows her person around and likes to be picked up and held in a nice warm lap. She's quite comfortable with strangers, as long as she's given a calm introduction.
Most of the time, Violet is a laid back lady, and doesn't really care to play with the other dogs. She does get a little worked up sometimes, and has recently started to play with toys. She does love to follow her foster brothers around and explore sights and smells with the boys. She loves loves loves going on walks, and sniffs everywhere the boys do. She's even been known to lift her leg and pee where they do, too. Like most cresties, she's got quite the pesonality and a few silly quirks.
She enjoys lounging on a chair, basking in the sunlight, keeping an eye on her empire. When it's meal-time or treat-time, though, she is a bouncy acrobat! At night, she sleeps in a crate, although I'm sure she'd love sleeping with her person. She's great in the car and would love to accompany her owner out and about on errands. She has been in foster care about a month and appears to be fully housebroken. Her foster mom works a full time job and Violet is given full access to the house during the day, without incident.
Violet would be a perfect addition to a quiet home, with gentle children, with or without another dog. She'd like having a fenced in yard, so she can get her daily zoomie run in. We really hope her adoptive family will walk her regularly, as she loves it so much. Her little tail just goes and goes and goes... watch out for the squirrels, though. She definitely needs a leash and a martingale collar, as she'll try to take off after the little creatures.
Violet does have a very mild case of dry eye, a condition requiring her to get eye medicine two times a day in one eye. This is prescribed by a vet and help keep her comfortable. She is simply a lovely girl, who will make an ideal companion for her new family.
