Iris is a very special girl, in many ways.

She's a CC or Xolo mix, about 10 years old, almost completely hairless and a real love-bug. Iris is missing her front left leg, but it doesn't slow her down one bit. She's mobile, loves to climb and snuggle, and she dances for treats with the best of them! And oh, how she plays with her foster brother! She can run just as fast as him, even though he's many years younger and cheats with that extra 4th leg. Yes, Iris is a cougar!

Iris is an all around mellow and loving girl. She enjoys going on walks, especially the sights and sounds of the neighborhood. When it's couch potato time, she's right there with you, having identified the arm of the sofa as her throne of choice. She's truly one-of-a-kind. She is always happy and is a super jumper. She likes strangers, kids, cats, toys, other dogs... all around, just a dream temperament!  

Due to spending the first part of her life outside, without proper monthly preventatives, she is heart worm positive. She's just completed the first phase of her "soft kill" treatment protocol and are happy to tell you more about what her treatment will require going forward. We're also thrilled to share she does not have any accompanying health issues, such as a heart murmur.
