Naked sweetness describes Desiree, all 9 lbs of her. This little girl is a Xoloitzcuintli with and measures 11 inches at the shoulder. Desiree was rescued from a harsh life with very little loving attention and she is now ready to find a home that will give her the love she craves. When she first arrived into rescue she was terrified of everything but once she discovered she was safe and cared for she started to open her heart. She gets along with other dogs and cats but if a cat runs from her Desi is more than willing to participate in the game of tag. A large friendly dog seems to be Desiree's preferred friend maybe she likes the big dogs because that means more room for her on the lap.

Desiree is a velcro dog meaning she will want to be with her people all the time. If you leave her she will cry but she can be bribed with a treat filled kong and another dog to keep her company. Growing up in a hoarder home she was never alone so being an only dog would be very difficult for her so we would prefer she go to a home with another dog or an owner who is home. If you could ask Desiree what she likes most she would say to sleep in her person's bed. Prior to being rescued she never experienced a soft bed with a warm person to snuggle up to and she is a real snuggler. She may be suspicious of strangers but Desi saves her wildly waving slinky tail for those she loves.
