***** Update on Mr. Marvel *********

Marvel is a sweet and clean little gentleman.  He is being fostered in VA.  He is very gentle and also insecure/timid due to his past and needs time to acclimate to his surroundings and to people.  

We are working on confidence-building and socialization skills with this sweet boy. His eye contact has already improved and he is very treat motivated.  Marvel has had no accidents in the house and does his business outside in the yard ... he does him potties and then wants back in the house:) He eats well with good routine and structure in his day.  Marvel was recently boarded with my 2 dogs and did just fine.  He does enjoy having the security of being with other balanced dogs.  Marvel could be an easy target for a dog that wasn't balanced as he is so submissive and shy. 

Marvel walks well on a leash and is slowly improving on not walking in front of his person:) He does get scared of loud noises or if it's really windy outside and needs someone who will take the time with him.  Marvel does well with other dogs and would do well in a family that has balanced dogs to bring him out of his shell.  He is now showing an interest in other dogs .... approaches them for a sniff on the nose.  Marvel will now do a couple of zoomies in the house first thing in the morning.  Marvel shows that he would like to play at some point:)

He is a couch potato and would spend the whole day on the couch with you.  He is left free to roam the house while we are gone but he pretty much just sleeps on the couch while we are gone:) Marvel would do best with a person or family that doesn't have small children (as he might be scared) and would give him all the time that he needs to come out of his shell.  He would do well with other balanced dogs or with someone who is home at least part of the day. It takes Marvel a while before he seeks out human contact or support but is now showing some bonding with his foster family!!! Yeah Marvey!!!  Marvel is asking for a patient and calm Mum or Dad and wants you to know that he is making baby steps:)
