Jasper is a powderpuff Chinese Crested, just under six years old, looking for a loving forever home. Although shy at first, he's a loving companion who is polite with strangers, both two-legged and four-legged. He is SO soft and cuddly, and is a great hugger. He loves snuggling up on the couch.

This sweet boy is also very well-mannered. He walks so gently on a leash, you'll double-check to make sure he's still there! Jasper has already started to initiate play with his foster brothers and has such a beautiful gait when he runs around the yard. He is housebroken, and will do his business in the yard or on a walk. He is not a big barker, although he'll join in with the other dogs once in a while.

Jasper is larger than a typical crested (about 20 pounds) and would be fine in a home with other dogs. He's very submissive and easy going. He'd really do fine in any kind of setting... a home with or without a yard, with or without kids, maybe even an apartment! He'd love to be with people all the time, but what dog wouldn't? As long as he gets plenty of snuggle time, he's fine with a foster mom who works full-time.

As a powderpuff, Jasper will require regular brushing and grooming to keep his coat smooth. He came to us matted, and we're doing the best we can, but he may be in a summer cut soon. The fun thing about a puff is that you can change their look throughout the year. And bonus, they don't shed!
