Eleanor is s true little lady, as her name suggests.  She enjoys the company of her human family but has yet to interact  too much with her four legged foster siblings.  She came in as part of the Kentucky 11 and is looking forward to finding the perfect family. 

Speaking of a perfect family, Eleanor is looking for someone that would be willing to work with her shy nature to help her gain confidence and feel comfortable in her surroundings.  She also needs a home with a fence at least four feet high and escape proof. Although Eleanor is a tiny girl she's quite the jumper and could easily find her way over a shorter fence.  Due to her small size a home without young children is required. Eleanor is fearful of men and will need help in overcoming her fear. She is not a candidate for far travel or flying to her adoptive home. Eleanor is being fostered in Pennsylvania and her adoptive family will need to be within driving distance to welcome her home. 

If you can provide tons of cuddles to a sweet senior girl Eleanor may be the perfect dog for you. She loves to travel and at a petite 7 pounds is the right size to go to any dog friendly place your errands may take you. Eleanor is also a candidate for our Golden Opportunity program. Senior citizens can adopt Eleanor for a discounted adoption fee. 

Although it it may take Eleanor a few weeks to bond, once she does she's the perfect Velcro dog. She's quiet and well mannered, gets along well with other small dogs and craves love and affection. Because of her small stature and blindness on her one side we do recommend a home without large dogs. 

Eleanor is missing her right eye due to an untreated glaucoma.  She's learning to get along just fine without the pain that eye had caused her for a long time.  She will need to be monitored closely around steps to prevent falls.
