Oh, boy... here we go! It's finally time to find Pop Tart a home. This is going to be tough. Just look at her! She is stinking adorable. A seven-month-old Chinese Crested mix puppy, about five pounds of nekkid cuteness and love packed into a tiny little package. We expect a lot of interest in this precious one. And since her life prior to rescue was not an easy one, we will do our best to find a home where she will be loved, adored, treasured, and maybe even a little spoiled.

Pop Tart LOVES people. When she hears her name, she will come running, wiggling, happy... pick her up and she'll wiggle her way to your face and give kisses. She is a tough little cookie given where she came from, and although she doesn't know she's disabled, she does have some physical challenges.

Pop Tart came to us with a deformity in her rear legs. When she walks, she does not have full use of them. Sometimes she carries them while walking on her front legs; other times, she does bear weight. Following surgery on one leg, we are in agreement with the surgeon that there was not significant enough change to warrant operating on the other leg. She has gone through water therapy, which has helped some, but she will not ever walk normally. We're looking for a forever home that will love her just the way she is.

Because the Tart is small and fragile, we are seeking a quiet home without young children or too much going on. She would get along great with other small dogs-- loves to play with her friends and her toys. She would love a fenced in yard so she can run and play off leash on those beautiful sunny days.

Since she is still a puppy, Pop Tart is working on her house manners. She has access to pee pads, which she uses overnight. Ideally, her forever home will not be away long hours for work. She would love work-at-home or retired parents.

Pop Tart would be an ideal friend for running errands. She is small enough to sneak into all kinds of places and she loves riding in a shopping cart with her head popped up from inside her tote. We imagine people would look forward to seeing the Tart out and about town, where she'd bring a smile to everyone she meets.

Please understand, we expect to receive many qualified applications for her. We anticipate a very difficult decision, and we can only pick one! After all, there is only one Pop Tart. One glorious, precious, heart-warming little girl who is only in need of one forever family. If you would like to be considered, please submit your application right away!

A reminder about transportation: Pop Tart is being fostered in Greenville, SC. We will not ship her via cargo to an adopter. Youi must be willing to either pick her up by car, or fly to take her home (in cabin). She is definitely small enough to fly in a carrier under the seat.
