Good things come in small packages, like little Piper, a Dachshund-Yorkie mix, weighing all of 9 lbs. She's estimated just under six years old. Her ideal home would be one where she is the only pet with an active couple, maybe including older children. Piper does not do well with younger children.

Piper is a spunky, energetic, excitable little girl who enjoys playing with toys. She will grab a toy, race around the room growling and barking playfully the entire time. With Piper's energy level and strong personality, she will do best with a dog savvy owner. With a good leader, she is a very loving and snuggly girl. Spoiled, though, this cutie may take advantage!

She keeps her 4-legged foster brothers and cat sisters busy and gets along with 2-legged friends, too. Piper enjoys meeting new people, and she is fine with young grand-kids who visit on occasion. That said, we do think she'd do best in a home without young children. She is being fostered along with (dog savvy) cats, who she likes to chase and try to play with.

Piper is pee pad trained in the house and also walks well on a leash, and will potty on a walk or in the yard. She is small so she'd be easy to take on errands out and about, and would fit in a sling for shopping trips.

Piper's being fostered in Atlanta, GA and hopes her forever home will notice her soon.
