Wishbone is as sweet as they come, especially considering all he's been through in his young life.

He was found as a stray on Thanksgiving Day in cold temperatures walking through the snow that had fallen the day before. His left front leg was very obviously badly broken. The very caring folks at the local animal shelter were attempting to raise funds to amputate that leg. What a shame it would have been for such a sweet puppy to not be given the chance to save his leg.

Luckily for Wishbone a member of the community knew about Bald is Beautiful and reached out to both us and the shelter to help save this little guy from being a tripod at a very early age. The shelter was kind enough to surrender Wishbone to us in order for him to have the costly surgery to save his leg.

The surgery has been performed and Wishbone is healing. He's started learning how to use his leg to walk and run like any puppy would. He may have some slight limitations such as limping after over use. Long hikes and agility should not activities he participates with.

Considering all this little sweetheart has been through you couldn't ask for a more well balanced, happy puppy. Wishbone loves everyone and is great with other dogs. He's starting to understand house manners. Toys are among his most favorite things in life, well, that and treats.

Wishbone's ideal home will have a fenced yard, lots of toys and treats, and patient caregivers to continue to work with his house manners. His forever home should not have small children due to his size. Wishbone would benefit most with a person home most of the time or someone that could take him to work with them. He's a great traveler and a quiet boy, rarely barking.
