Description:
Thank you for your interest in Honey, due to the number of applications already received we are placing a hold on any new ones. Please consider one of our other dogs.
Honey is a Hairy Hairless Chinese Crested, about three years old, and oh-so pretty! She has a very soft personality, and she gets a great amount of pleasure spending time with her special person.
Honey's foster home has several small dogs of different breeds. Once she was given time to adjust to her new situation, she has been trustworthy and gentle with the oldest and most fragile dogs. However, she is not fond of young active pups that insist on playing.
Besides people, Honey likes cats most of all and would love to find a home where she could have lots of kitties to share her family with. This sweet girl does not need a fenced yard and would do very well being leash walked several times a day for potty breaks. Honey does become concerned when left alone so if her new family is away most of the day then she should have at least one other well mannered dog to keep her company. Honey is learning all about the world and becomes shy in unfamiliar situations so a very busy household is not in her best interest at this time.
She enjoys car rides, going for walks, sitting next to her person, cats, quiet homes and showering her family with love. Honey would benefit greatly being enrolled in a positive motivation training class to help her build more confidence, she is still young and learning all about this big beautiful world.
We would like to see Honey adopted to a home within driving distance of her foster home in Vinton, VA (whatever that means to you...) as she is not a candidate for air or ground cargo. Applications are welcome!
