Merry Anne is a darling and tiny girl at just 7 pounds. A true "POCKET DOG". She is very shy and quiet, but once she warms up to her person, she will want nothing more than to be with you. She is the perfect companion for someone in a quiet home, without kids, and without a lot of people coming and going on a regular basis.

Merryanne's house training is only as good as you are at taking her out to potty. She does not like to be without you so will mainly only go out if you do.

And when we say quiet... she's REALLY quiet! She doesn't bark at all and only does a small whimper, so her caretaker needs to really pay attention to her body language to see if she's nervous or needs something. We've learned that she needs to eat several small meals a day, rather than two bigger ones, to keep her stomach happy.

MerryAnne is more concerned with being with her human than other pets, she really just wants her person. She'd be absolutely fine as an only dog. And ideally someone home more than not.

She really is a precious little girl. If she had a person who would hold her, and love on her, pretty much all the time, it would make her so happy and she'd finally feel safe. Whatever start she had in life, she certainly deserves to be a princess going forward. If your heart is open to a girl that needs just a little extra patience, she will reward you many times over.

Merry Anne is being fostered in Blacksburg, VA and any interested adopter must be willing to pick her up and travel by car. She is not a candidate for any other transport option.
