adoption pending. Chief is a sweet Chinese Crested male who is very simple in what he loves in life: walks, toys and a cozy blanket to snuggle under. He is being fostered along with two dogs and two cats, and gets along fine with everyone. He mostly keeps to himself and the person in his life. But he also loves to be goofy and play, and is just a hoot when he gets in one of his silly moods!

He enjoys a walk and does very well on a lead. We walk at least a mile a day and he hangs in there, mixing in some potty time with marching onward. No telephone pole is safe!!  He is not big barker but can be vocally expressive with his funny sounds and little "woo woo woo!" every now and again. Due to his history (hoarding situation) he is a dog takes a little while to warm up but when he does trust you he is the sweetest little guy who loves to give kisses.  

Chief has done well either staying in a crate or out and about in the house. He does not have any destructive habits like chewing or digging. He's really a good dude!

He is always the 1st to settle down and go to sleep.  He loves to sleep and I have to wake him up in the morning to go out.  If you ever loose track of him you can bet he is under a blanket somewhere!  He loves to cuddle up under blankets and even better if his person is there too.

Chief also loves his soft squeaky toys, which he seems to have started stockpiling on the living room ottoman. At least once a day, he will bring you a toy and invite you to play fetch for just a toss or two. He seems very proud to share his toy with you. He would make a loving and devoted pet for a quiet, mellow household.

He really would do best in a quiet home, perhaps a retired couple, where he can live the life of luxury he has earned thus far. Top three requirements for Chief's forever home..... blanket, toys and love. If you've got all three, please apply.
