Maggie is a beautiful, 15 month old Peruvian Inca Orchid. At 16 lbs, she would be classified as a "small". She is low to the ground and sturdy, with the most amazing whisky colored eyes you have ever seen. Although not a highly active dog, Maggie is young, extremely athletic and very smart.

She is at first shy around strangers and new situations, but warms up when offered encouragement and treats. Good with all dogs, both large and small, and dog savvy cats.

At 15 months old, Maggie is past the destructive puppy stage, but still young enough to love to play. She is a great collector of bouncy balls, squeaky stuff animals and cat toys. She loves a game of "wrestle" or "chase" with her tiny foster brother. Maggie has been gentle in her play with him. Because she is so young, Maggie would beneifit from the socialization that an obedience class would offer.

Maggie's favorite thing by far is to be near her person, either cuddling on your lap or nearby on the back of the couch. She loves a day of playing fetch in the yard, or chasing a lazor pointer, watching her favorite football team, and then diving under the covers to sleep undisturbed through the night.

True to her breed, Maggie loves to chase a squirrel or a bird that might dare to venture into her back yard. For that reason a fenced in yard would be best. Dog savvy, or older children would be fine.

She is a delight, a loving, smart, beautiful girl.
